HOLR breaks down the latest news involving the Adam Johnson accident.

Adam Johnson Death

Adam Johnson was the victim of an ice hockey accident that claimed his life after he was cut in the neck with a skate blade during a game last month. Johnson- who was 29- subsequently died after he suffered a slashed neck during a game in Sheffield, U.K., as noted here.

Was Matt Petgrave charged?

A man- who has not been named- has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. This news follows the devastating death of Britain’s Nottingham Panthers hockey player, Johnson. Johnson received immediate medical attention after being struck on the ice but did not survive after being taken to the hospital following a skate blade cutting him in the neck. The man who has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter is currently in police custody.

There is a difference between manslaughter and murder. Manslaughter refers to “the unlawful unintentional killing of another human life” while murder refers to “the deliberate killing of one human being by another” as noted here. As mentioned above, a man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter (not murder) involving the Johnson incident.
