Ferragni is allegedly being fined over $1M Euro for an allegedly misleading panettone Christmas Cake ad campaign. Italy’s anti-trust authority said that the way the cake was marketed at a higher price led customers to believe that they were benefitting Ferragni’s charity- which was supposed to support cancer research at a hospital in Turin. In actuality [prior to the campaign commencing, Ferragni had made a $50,000 euro donation to the hospital but no future donations in direct relation to proceeds had been made.

In response to the news, Ferragni took to Instagram to apologize in Italian and make a statement, which the TikToker had translated below.

As the TikToker claims, Ferragni is apologizing for a “communication error” and that she will legally challenge the ruling. She is committing to returning $1M euro to the Children’s Hospital, regardless, as stated.
