Chris Martin, the voice and frontman of British band Coldplay announced during the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show that the band will stop producing music in 2025.

This may come as a shock, but Coldplay has been around since 1996 and has released 9 studio albums. With this, Chris Martin has said that the band is not breaking up, the contract has them to produce at least 3 more albums by the end of 2025. Coldplay is a very well-known brand, after releasing songs like Yellow, Trouble, The Scientist, and many more iconic hits that have graced the ears of music listeners.

On the breakfast show, Coldplay was asked when they were going to put their instruments down, and Chris confidently responded with, “Well I know I can tell you: our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that, I think we will only tour,” Martin said. “Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalogue, as it were, finishes then.”

US WEEKLY

This information does come as a shock to music lovers and Coldplay fans, but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Chris Martin and his members of the band can all agree that they have had a pretty great career, and they may not be making albums, but this does not seem like the end for Coldplay as a band.

The catalogue that Coldplay has and the influence they have on the world is something that can never stop, maybe one day, but until then, Coldplay will be singing with fans, for charities and many more occasions that the band is welcome to, and plus who wouldn’t want to welcome Coldplay to sing.
