Quality fabrics have always been known to be expensive, but not at KOTN. This Toronto-based essentials brand is changing the industry, and is now hosting a pop-up in Montreal

 

Kotn is currently hosting a pop-up shop at 65 Rue Saint Viateur E in Montreal. The shop will be open from April 17-May 14. 

If you aren’t familiar with Kotn, the brand was launched in 2015 when founders Mackenzie Yeates, Rami Helali, and Benjamin Sehl had noticed a gap in the marketplace. They noticed high-quality, well-fitting basics weren’t affordable for everyday wear.
Kotn set out to solve this problem, starting first with their Egyptian cotton t-shirt, which has the quality and cut of its designer counterpoints yet is affordable enough for consumers to pick up in multiples. The brand partners directly with Egyptian cotton farmers in the Nile River Delta to keep costs low while helping to revive a struggling agriculture business.

By working directly with cotton farmers, they aim to rebuild the industry. Additionally, the brand also partners with pro-literacy organizations to stop the cycle of child labour in areas where it’s common.
