Talk to us about how you got your start in the industry.

My start in the industry began not too long ago actually, it’s only been a couple of years. I started doing background for a few months to get a feel of the set, you know learn the basics. Then I decided to do stunts, my pops is into stunts so he helped get me my first audition for it. After some time went by and I got some credits, I took a class to get an agent and ended up getting one. After that, the ball just started rolling, it was one audition after another until eventually I came across U-God and booked it.

Your role in the Hulu series, “Wu-Tang: An American Saga,” returned on Feb 15th with the finale on April 5th. Tell us more about the show and what we can expect when tuning in.

For those who don’t know, Wu-Tang: An American Saga is the origin story based on the Wu-Tang Clan, one of hip-hop’s most influential groups. As we continue with season 3, fans can expect to see the course of RZA’s five-year plan as the clan faces different challenges, especially with their newfound fame. Specifically for my character U-God, you expect a lot more of his personal story being told and more of an understanding of who the man really was.

We heard that your first industry job was as a stunt part for the Wu-Tang series. How is this a full-circle moment for you?

Okay, I see y’all did some good research, people don’t even know about that but definitely quite an experience. I have to thank stunt coordinator Kevin Rogers for that one, he’s the one who found me. I remember doing that first stunt job, in my trailer that very night when I was getting ready to leave, I looked in the mirror and told myself that ” You will be back here”. And here I am. God is good.

You can also be seen as ‘Jules’ in the award-winning film “Chaaw.” Talk to us more about this role.

Yes, the director for this is Eric Orr who is also the producer and he wanted to tell a story of victims of injustice. My character specifically known as Jules is an individual stuck in a life of crime and drugs. Although he hasn’t always made the best decisions in following the right path, he ends up wanting to change for the better, and in the process of bettering himself, he finds god in hopes to guide him.

Walk us through your passion for fashion and style.

That’s definitely another passion of mine I’m following. I love that you can express yourself through wearing clothes & just being able to put random things together to make it look cool. But overall, just to be yourself & not worry what anyone thinks. No matter what brand it is, if it’s dope, I’ll wear it. My next goal with that is to get into modeling clothes, and walking during fashion week/shows. It’s always something I wanted to do when I was young so hopefully one day I can fulfill that dream collab and design my own piece of clothing.

What’s next for you?

I am currently working on something now that I know people will enjoy, I can’t say much about it now but I will soon. But I would love to do another series regular or a lead in a film. I truly believe I’m ready for it but it just has to be the right one. I’d rather have quality over quantity. And hopefully, get into streaming, it’s another passion of mine and also another way that I can network and connect with people, especially the ones who support me and what I do in my career.
