In a recent report, PageSix noted that Pete Davidson is in rehab due to PTSD and borderline personality disorder. The information was shared with the outlet by some close sources of Pete’s.

“Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening.” an insider said, as noted by PageSix.

“Anyone who knows Pete knows that he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it. He has a lot of people in his corner who love him and support him, and are proud of him.” the insider said.

According to the insider, Pete is currently “taking a well deserved break so he can focus on himself and learn to better deal with his PTSD issues.”

Another close source told People that Pete is “in rehab but should be getting out pretty soon.” “Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues. His friends and family have been supportive during this time.” another insider told the outlet.

What is Borderline Personality Disorder?

According to this source, Borderline Personality Disorder or BPD is “a disorder of mood and how a person interacts with others. It’s the most commonly recognised personality disorder.”

The news about Davidson being accepted into rehab, the same facility that John Mulaney went to, as PageSix added, comes a few months after Pete was involved in a car crash. Earlier this month, he was charged with “reckless driving” after he crashed his car into a house in March. HOLR breaks it down here.

“We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home,” a police representative told PageSix.
