Kevin Hart Assistant Interview

Kevin Hart has taken legal action against YouTuber Tasha K, alleging extortion and defamation after purported threats to release an interview with Hart’s ex-assistant. The lawsuit claims that Hart’s legal team initially issued a cease and desist letter to Tasha K, refusing a demand for a substantial fee to prevent the interview from going public.

In the legal filing obtained by The Blast, Kevin Hart’s representatives accused Tasha K, identified as Latasha Transrina Kebe, of engaging in violations of civil and criminal law. The filing demanded an immediate halt to these activities, warning of potential monetary damages and criminal penalties if the actions persisted.

The interview with Tasha K and Kevin Hart’s assistant went live yesterday and some of the takeaways that Tasha K has highlighted include that Hart is allegedly a “gambling addict, habitual cheater, and paying millions to a man to take his DUI charges.”

The lawsuit detailed an incident where an individual claiming affiliation with Tasha K’s platform approached someone from Hart’s team, threatening to publish a damaging story about the actor. Allegedly, this person, acting on Tasha K’s instructions, implied that the damaging story could be avoided if Hart paid $250,000.

Hart’s legal team referenced Penal Code Section 518, suggesting both criminal and civil liabilities for Tasha K and anyone involved in the alleged extortion attempt. They reported the incident to the authorities, indicating that the threatened story involved an interview with Hart’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes, containing scandalous claims against the actor.

Additionally, the filing highlighted a non-disclosure agreement signed by Shakes, implying potential violations if any details connected to the story were disclosed.

Moreover, Hart’s lawyers referenced Tasha K’s history of defamatory content about celebrities, citing a defamation lawsuit where Tasha K was found liable for civil damages exceeding $3 million in a case involving Cardi B. The legal documents noted that this loss led Tasha K to file for bankruptcy protection.
