Meghan Markle was recently spotted without her engagement ring on as she went to celebrate a birthday lunch with her friends.

In the above recent photo, Markle can be seen smiling, pictured with friends- without her $200K engagement ring on from her husband, Prince Harry. There is no concrete evidence to support trouble in paradise between the Royal couple, ultimately leading to Markle being seen out and about without her ring. However, news outlets have long been speculating whether or not the duo is heading for a split.

For now, it looks like we’ll just have to keep an eye on these two and their relationship.

Why did Meghan change her ring?

It was speculated that Markle initially changed her ring due to swelling from her pregnancy with Archie. However, news outlets reported that it was actually an idea from Prince Harry. Allegedly, Prince Harry upgraded the band while ordering a bespoke eternity ring for Markle. This was allegedly a gift to celebrate the pair’s first wedding anniversary, as noted here. Prince Harry initially gave Markle a trilogy ring with a center diamond sourced from Botswana accented by additional side diamonds. These smaller side diamonds were from Princess Diana’s collection.

What happens if Prince Harry divorces Meghan Markle?

According to this article, if the duo gets a divorce Markle would allegedly be entitled to a large settlement- approximately between $40-50 million.
