Cheers to the holiday season with Starbucks

From 25 years of the iconic red cups to what you can expect to see- and shop- at Starbucks this holiday season, we’re rounding up everything you can look forward to from the brand as it rings in the holidays with exciting new products and seasonal faves.

Starbucks Holiday Red Cups have become a holiday tradition since their introduction in 1997, and this year the brand is celebrating 25 years of holiday joy with its latest iteration of the iconic red cup design. The brand has committed to updating its designs over the years, but one thing remains true- Starbucks holiday red cups have become an iconic symbol that signifies the arrival of the holiday season. From the hand-drawn holly and swirls on the very first cups to the modern graphic designs inspired by augmented reality, Starbucks holiday red cups have taken on multiple designs and colorways over the years.

Now that red cup season is here, what does that mean? Your favourite holiday food and drink offerings are back at Starbucks, of course!

Classics such as the Caramel Brûlé Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, and- returning for the second year- the non-dairy Sugar Cookie Oat Latte will all be back on the brand’s holiday menu. Now, drum roll please, because this year is the 20th anniversary of the iconic Starbucks Peppermint Mocha- a holiday staple.

Fans of the Starbucks holiday treats can also enjoy fresh holiday bakery items such as the Cranberry Bliss Bar (our fave!), Gingerbread Loaf, and Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop.

How the brand is honouring Canadian Veterans

From October 28 to November 11, cashless donations are also back. As a result, customers can donate to the Poppy Fund at the cafe register at participating stores (no purchase required), through the Starbucks donation page on MyPoppy.ca or in the Starbucks app. Those who donate in-store will receive a physical poppy. Online donors will receive a digital poppy that they can dedicate in memory of a veteran, download, and share.

As well, on November 11, veterans, currently serving Canadian Armed Forces members or military spouses who visit participating Starbucks stores will be treated with a free tall (354 ml) hot brewed coffee.

Be sure to check out your local Starbucks to help ring in the holiday season with seasonal sips and treats!
