Sophia Bush has been married twice before! her first marriage was to Chad Michael Murray in 2005 but divorced him in 2006. Now it appears Bush is headed for divorce again.
Her second marriage to entrepreneur Grant Hughes in 2022, is coming to an end in 2023. This news comes barely seven weeks after celebrating their first wedding anniversary.
The Chicago PD actress, 41, filed for divorce from her husband on Friday after 13 months of marriage.
A source close to the couple has said, “Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service.”

But “They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends” the source claims.
In an Instagram post by Bush, she captioned “Today marks 365 days of calling you ‘husband.”
From here on, Bush wrote, “Best decision of my life. I love you, my favourite. Happy Anniversary.”
So, what changed in seven weeks? Their engagement was the stuff of dreams.
Did Bush having to leave her 2:22 A Ghost Story West End production due to illness contribute to her divorce?
In short, Bush told ET, “Last month several members of our company were hit with a virus & in the following weeks everyone recovered except for me.”

She went on to say, “It’s devastating to say goodbye to an experience that’s been so incredibly fulfilling, both artistically & personally.”

How long has Sophia Bush been with Grant Hughes?
Bush and Hughes tied the knot in June 2022 at the City County Clerk’s Office in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Previously, the pair had met while on a New Year’s trip to Nicaragua about 10 years ago.
Instagram posts from the couple show their engagement took place while they were boating on Lake Como in Italy.
Unquestionably, the couple were in love. “So, it turns out that being your favourite person’s favourite person is the actual best feeling on planet Earth,” Bush wrote of her engagement to Grant.
Additionally, Grant added his own post, saying “She is my forever Favorite. This is my favourite.”
Clearly, despite their divorce, the pair remain friends.
