Rapper T.I. Arrested At Aiport After Identity Is Mistaken

Rapper T.I. was arrested Sunday night at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta. T.M.Z has learned the arrest is a result of a mistaken identity. Police had a warrant out in Baltimore, Maryland, for a man named Clifford Harris. The rapper shares the same legal as the suspect, resulting in his arrest. The suspect is wanted for alleged involvement in violent behavior toward a woman, stalking, and possibly involving a gun. (here)

The rapper was found in the airport and taken to Clayton County Jail. Since the warrant was issued out of state, the arrest triggered an automatic extradition hearing. T.I. was released within two hours after his attorney, Steve Sadow, contacted the Clayton County Jail. The judge reviewed and dismissed the extradition order. Not much is known about the appearance of the actual suspect and why the rapper was arrested. One detail that is public knowledge is the weight of the rapper and the suspect do not match. The suspect is said to be 205 pounds, while T.I.’s is around 165 pounds. Currently, no arrests have been made. It is also unknown if police have a lead on the suspect.
