According to several sources, Kyle, 31, was detained in Rutherford County, Tennessee, on suspicion of felony aggravated assault and has since been freed on a $3,000 bail bond. At this time, it’s unclear exactly what transpired before his arrest.

The former reality star seemed dejected in the mugshot that was originally made public by TMZ and included short hair and a scruffy beard. His arrest occurs almost two months after his father Todd and stepmother Julie Chrisley started serving time in federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion.

Kyle Chrisley’s wife, Ashleigh Chrisley, has not yet responded to the arrest of her husband.

The Chrisleys were first charged with fraud and tax evasion in August 2019, and a new indictment was submitted in February 2022.

The couple was charged with being “career swindlers who have made a living by jumping from one fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors, and evading taxes at every corner,” according to the prosecution. They have pledged to appeal and continue to assert their innocence.

Kyle battled drug usage, mental disorder, arrests, and other personal troubles for years while being isolated from his renowned family.

He shares a 10-year-old daughter named Chloe Chrisley with Angela Johnson, and Todd and Julie have full custody of her as a result of Kyle’s battles with addiction and bipolar disorder.

In the midst of the parents’ legal issues, Kyle’s half-sister Savannah Chrisley, 25, was granted custody of Chloe and her younger brother Grayson Chrisley, who is 16 years old.
