Timothee Chalamet is featured in a new Apple TV+ ad campaign that released on Friday. He is seen watching a number of the streaming service’s most popular and award-winning recent movies while wondering why he hasn’t been cast there yet.

Timothée Chalamet has been somewhat of a huge deal for a while, as everyone who enjoys watching movies is aware. The actor’s career took off after he appeared in the LGBTQIA+ drama Call Me By Your Name. Since then, he has appeared in critically praised films like Lady Bird, Little Women, The French Dispatch, and Dune. Soon we’ll get to watch him in Wonka as the fabled chocolatier.

Looks like Timothée Chalamet is everywhere… but just not on Apple TV+.

The streaming platform highlights the fact that, despite being one of the most popular and talented young actors working today, Chalamet has yet to be asked to star in any Apple TV+ productions in a new brand campaign.

In the advertisement, Chalamet browses the Apple TV+ catalog on his TV and iPad and sees names like Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Martin Scorsese and wonders why he hasn’t been invited, despite the fact that he is also a Hollywood A-lister.

The actor recalls, “I was in two Best Picture nominees last year,” as he and a pal watch Academy Award-winning CODA in a theatre.

Next, Chalamet is shown watching Selena Gomez‘s documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me and Jennifer Lawrence’s film Causeway on an iPad as his car passes adoring admirers, leading him to question why he does not have his own documentary on the platform.

The advertisement also highlights the actor pondering a move to television as he declares he could star in the current hits on Apple TV+ Ted Lasso, Severance, and Black Bird: “I guess I could do prison,” he wonders.

Jason Momoa, Chalamet’s co-star from the Dune film, later FaceTimes in for the new role while announcing that Chief of War, his own Apple TV+ series, is now finished. This made Chalamet realise that he is the only major actor without a role on the streaming platform.

Chalamet asks Momoa, “Wait, you have a new Apple show?” To which replies, “At this point, who doesn’t?” “Yeah, I mean, who doesn’t at this point? Like you just said…” Chalamet responds.

The advertisement ends with Chalamet learning that Apple even signed Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, and Leonardo DiCaprio for the upcoming film Killers of the Flower. The actor then rolls over into his bed and asks Apple to call him.

Everyone but Timothée Chalamet and Jon Hamm

The streaming service released a similar ad campaign in January 2022, with Jon Hamm as the headliner, who also inquires as to why Apple TV+ has not yet cast him in a role. Since that day, Hamm has been cast with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston in The Morning Show‘s forthcoming third season.

So keep an eye out in the coming months as there may be a Timothée Chalamet-starring title coming to Apple TV+.
