According to this article, Seymour Hersh, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, alleges that Volodymyr Zelensky (Ukrainian President) embezzled $400 million in 2022. This money was supposedly provided by the US and was given to  Ukraine to purchase fuel. As stated in the article, Hersh claimed that Zelensky “made millions by buying cheaper Russian fuel instead of purchasing from approved sources.”

Ukraine President and officials embezzlement allegations

In Hersh’s findings, the following is stated:

“Zelensky’s been buying discount diesel from the Russians,” claimed one knowledgeable American intelligence official. “And who’s paying for the gas and oil? We are. Putin and his oligarchs are making millions” on it.

Allegedly, Ukraine has been purchasing fuel from Russia- the country they are currently at war with. Ukraine seemingly purchased discount fuel from Russia instead of purchasing the fuel from the Pakistani port.
