Was The Late Late Show With James Corden Dropped By CBS Due To Decline Of Funds?

With the final episode of  ‘The Late Late Show With James Corden’ released, it is official that the late-night talk show host, James Corden is officially on retirement.

The final episode included guest stars like Harry Styles and Will Ferrell, the last episode is currently on Youtube.

Did CBS Drop The Show?

According to sources from Insider, CBS couldn’t afford Corden anymore.

“It was simply not sustainable, CBS could not afford him anymore.” (via Insider)

When the Late Late Show first aired, Corden’s paycheck resulted in the 4-5 million range. Due to his rise to success and high view numbers, his paycheck rate skyrocketed making it unsustainable.

Throughout the years, Corden has made quite the name for himself.

With his segments on the show like Carpool Karaoke and Spill Or Fill Your Guts, the late-night talk show host has collected over 500 million views on Youtube.

Safe to say, we are excited to see what other kinds of projects Corden gets up to in the future.
