Ozempic Face is going viral online. What is it?

According to this TikTok video posted by user @highervibes1974, Hollywood celebs are allegedly being captured with “Ozempic Face” in which their appearance looks slimmer and more gaunt, potentially due to using the medication as a weight loss drug.

Ozempic Face Before and After

Although Ozempic is not specifically labeled as a weight loss drug, people using it may experience weight loss because of an active ingredient featured in it. However, there can be risks associated with taking Ozempic for weight loss, since Ozempic aids in improving blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes.

There have been rumors circulating around Hollywood that celebrities are turning to Ozempic as a way to lose weight faster, in which it is alleged that multiple stars are using Ozempic for weight loss purposes. However, there is no concrete evidence to support these claims as few have been open about using specific medications or drugs for weight loss.

As the video showcases, stars such as Scott Disick and Jessica Simpson have been allegedly accused of using Ozempic – or other weight loss drugs- in order to lose weight and people online have claimed that their appearances have changed as a result. For instance, Disick’s face seemingly appears more gaunt which people have blamed Ozempic usage on. Again, there is no evidence to support claims that Ozempic is the reason for Disick’s appearance change because there is no proof that this is the case. However, rumors are running rampant online, and “Ozempic Face” is still allegedly trending as a result.

What is Ozempic face?

TikTok user @radyrahbanmd took to the platform to discuss the trend, in which it is essentially just the weight loss face that Ozempic is being blamed for. Ozempic could be the culprit but it is essentially just a weight-loss face that could come as a result of any issue or medication.

Now let’s dive deeper into how it impacts on the face aka “Ozempic Face”. Is Ozempic Face a new phenomenon, or some fancy words for the general effects of rapid weight loss? As the TikToker explains, anyone who experiences rapid weight loss from things like stress, a diet, or using weight loss drugs, they are going to lose volume in their body and their face will evidently show it. In reality, people who lose a lot of weight at once such as through weight loss medication will experience a hollow face. If the person does not have sizeable cheekbones, this may show more. Hollowness can also appear under the eyes, as the TikToker notes. Looseness may also appear around the neck area. This won’t be attributed to Ozempic specifically, but rather to rapid weight loss in general, which can be due to a number of things.

What are your thoughts on these alleged claims- do you think Ozempic face exists in Hollywood right now?
