The Line Saudi Arabia

As noted in the video, it’s going to have no streets, and no cars, and will supposedly be CO2-emissions free. It’s planned to be 170 km long consisting of two parallel 500 m tall skyscrapers lining each side.

As the TikToker notes, it will allegedly house up to 9 million people and is expected to have the first residents moving in by the year 2030. The Line is one of 4 regions that has reportedly been announced- each serving a unique purpose.

However, there has seemingly been some backlash garnered from the design, as the TikToker claims. Allegations include a potential violation of human rights laws, feasibility, and ecological impact.

Commenters took to the above video to share their opinions on this project.

This is allegedly part of a $500 billion futuristic mega-city called NEOM. – located on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Coast. The mega-city reportedly has goals to be powered by 100% renewable energy such as solar and wind.
