According to this TikTok video posted by user @crimewithkourt, there is an unusual missing person case everyone is talking about right now. An American woman named Ana Knezevich reportedly went missing after moving to Spain from Florida recently, at the beginning of this year.

As the TikToker notes, in January Ana and her husband separated. Allegedly, the divorce was “pretty nasty” so Ana decided to temporarily move to Spain to get some space. There was allegedly a lot of money on the line to be split between the two. She supposedly moved to a luxury apartment in an upscale neighborhood in Madrid. She reportedly rented the apartment up until February 5th but supposedly vanished on February 2nd and no one has seen her since.

That night that she allegedly disappeared, Ana was having a long conversation with a friend on the phone around 8:30 pm. Everything allegedly seemed normal and Ana had reportedly not planned on going out that night as the TikToker mentions. Later that night a man in a helmet covering his face was allegedly caught on security cameras at Ana’s apartment building. The man reportedly spray-painted 2 security cameras in the front of the building and by an elevator to seemingly make them not visible. That night Ana reportedly vanished- and nothing else was caught on camera because of this.

The following day, Ana’s friend and brother received unusual texts from Ana’s phone. The pair believe that the texts allegedly weren’t from Ana and raised suspicion.

Supposedly, the texts said Ana met someone “wonderful.” Supposedly, Ana claimed that she had met a man on the street and they had an instant connection. Ana then said she was going to a summerhouse with him, approximately 2 hours outside of Madrid. She allegedly claimed she would be gone for a few days and stated that the phone signal wouldn’t be strong. However, she claimed that she would call them when she got back.

The friend who received those texts was the same one who was on the phone with Ana the night before she reportedly vanished- and Ana had never mentioned anything about a man or running off with a man that night. Ana has allegedly not been seen or heard from since. She was officially reported missing on February 5th. She also never showed up to a train she was supposed to catch with a friend on February 5th.

As the TikToker states, according to Ana’s brother and friend, the texts seemed disconnected. The texts also allegedly switched between English and Spanish as if they were translated from a computer, as the TikToker notes. This seemed very unlike Ana if it actually was her sending those texts.

As the TikToker notes, when authorities gained access to Ana’s apartment, they found no signs of a break-in or crime.

Ana’s ex-husband went back to his hometown in Serbia right after they separated and was reportedly not in Spain when Ana disappeared. He has also been cooperating with authorities and has not been named a person of interest in this case, as of this moment. Police in Madrid and Florida have launched their respective investigations into her disappearance. A GoFundMe has also been created to help hire a private investigator for the case.

As the TikToker states, although there is no concrete evidence linking anyone to this alleged crime yet and it is unclear if the man who spray-painted the cameras is related to this case, it is all very unusual.
