Celebrities descended on the Metropolitan Museum of Art for this year’s Met Gala, resplendent in expensive fabrics and jewels. Co-hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Zendaya, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Jennifer Lopez, there were several incredible fashion moments on the red carpet.
Some of the night’s most memorable fashion moments included co-host Zendaya wowing in Maison Margiela Artisanal, and Cardi B’s incredible train on her Windowsen gown.
While Kylie Jenner graced the night with her presence, many noticed the absence of Jenner’s boyfriend, actor Timotheé Chalamet.

Currently filming in Newark for the upcoming biopic of Bob Dylan, in which Chalamet will play the iconic singer, it is most likely that Chalamet is working on set.
Chalamet and Jenner’s relationship has been the subject of intense media scrutiny, with rumors spreading that the couple were broken up one moment and expecting a child the next.
Speaking with GQ in an interview published in October, Chalamet expressed his desire to keep his private life private. When the interviewer, Daniel Riley, challenged that it might be easier to do if he didn’t date one of the most famous people in the world, Chalamet was reminded of a recent South Park episode meant to invoke Meghan and Harry’s demands for privacy.
“Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you’re trying to live a private life,”
Despite this confusion, the actor went on to say how having real experiences can be beneficial to his career. Chalamet said that “[y]ou’ve got to fall in love, you’ve got to get bored” to fuel an actor’s performance.
With the rise in Chalamet’s profile thanks to his performances in films such as Call Me By Your Name, Dune, and Wonka, the actor said the human experiences necessary for him to perform were being sidelined by his career’s “experiential rush,”
What is the Met Gala Theme 2024?
Formally called the Costume Institute Benefit, the Met Gala is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It is held on the first Monday of May.
Designers work to create outfits for celebrities attending the event that honor that year’s theme. The 2024 Met Gala’s theme was Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. The theme “examines how technology can breathe new life” into outfits too old or fragile to be worn.
