Megan Thee Stallion and Latto know how to put on a show. This year’s noteworthy performances belong to female MCs that made their mark on the Billboard main stage. Megan Thee Stallion brought twerking galore and hair flips with “Plan B” and “Sweetest Pie,” while Latto rocked the stage with “Big Energy.” We also got to witness energetic acts from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Silk Sonic, and Becky G.

Mary J. Blige made the night ICONic. She was presented with the Billboard Icon Award by previous recipient Janet Jackson. In her heartfelt acceptance award speech, Blige reflected on the meaning of being an icon: “What an icon means to me is overcoming obstacles to accomplish the unthinkable and be widely admired for having influence over a multitude of people, and that is what I’ve always represented.”
