The release marks the first new music from the GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum rapper, producer, and philanthropist since his blockbuster double-side album, MONTANA, last year.

Once again, French locks into urgent rhymes over the strains of a church choir and bullhorn sirens. His deliberate and commanding flow calls out “diamonds, flash…stick game, blast,” before the caustic and catchy chorus, “Don’t play, that’s a fact.” In the accompanying video, which he directed himself using only the resources he had while in quarantine, he dons a full hazmat suit and still makes it look fly while crushing the beat between sky view footage of his hometown of New York City.

Additionally, furthering his philanthropic endeavors and passionate dedication to immigrant causes, French Montana was named the first ambassador to I Stand With Immigrants, an initiative that highlights empowering immigration stories and the ways immigrants have positively contributed to the country. As part of his role, he launched the Karim Kharbouch Coding Fellowship Program in partnership last Fall with The Knowledge House and immigration advocacy group FWD.us, and donated $50,000 towards immigrant education.

Recently, he gathered a handful of official certifications from the RIAA. Speaking to its enduring influence, his boundary-breaking smash “Unforgettable” [feat. Swae Lee] impressively went eight-times platinum. The song’s video, which was co-directed by French Montana himself, also recently joined an elite group, accumulating over 1 billion views to-date. MONTANA highlights “Writing On The Wall” [feat. Post Malone, Cardi B, & Rvssian] and “Slide” [feat. Blueface & Lil TJay] both achieved gold status. The album itself, released in December, was certified Gold immediately upon release.

Ahead of the new single, last week he also dropped the self-directed music video for “Salam Alaykum” (view it HERE).  In addition, he appeared on the revived PUNK’D on Quibi, hosted by Chance the Rapper. Next up, French is set to unleash yet another new single entitled “Cold” [feat. Tory Lanez] in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

French Montana is still on top, and that’s a fact
