The Golden Globe winner Ali Wong and her boyfriend Billhader shared a moment to hug and kiss on her way to receive her award on the stage. The couple first sparked their romance in April 2023, according to People.
This was after Wong divorced her former husband, Justin Hakuta. In 2022, they separeted after eight years of marriage life. Nevertheless, she expressed gratitude to Justin Hakuta, saying, “I really need to thank the father of my children and my best friend, Justin, for all of your love and support. It’s because of you that I’m able to be a working mother,” according to People.

What did Ali Wong win for?
The award honored her for best performance by a female actor in a limited series or TV movie. Though she has been acclaimed for a long time for her standing on Netflix series, best known for her Netflix stand-up specials Baby Cobra, this was the first time Wong became a Golden Globe nominee. She starred in 2023’s black comedy Beef, released on Netflix in April 2023. During her speech, she expressed her appreciation for the director Lee Sung Jin and the rest of the cast and crew members of the comedy-drama.
In Beef, Wong plays the main character, Amy Lau, who was born in America as the only child of her parents who immigrated from China. However, she has had many traumatic experiences in romantic relationships, such as her father’s repeated affairs. Because of that, Lau shatters her romance, and she faces plenty of difficulties and frustrations.

Ali Wong is the youngest child in her family. Including Mimi Wong and Andrew Wong; she has three siblings. The ten-year-old sister, Mimi, is a writer and teaches at New School as a professor of the writing department.
