We’re seeing a trend of biographical films surrounding the lives of iconic singers. Movies like ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Rocketman’ and ‘Elvis‘ continue to achieve massive success at the box office and awards circuits. Now, the iconic reggae singer Bob Marley is the next star to get the biopic treatment!

Bob Marley is considered a pioneer in reggae music, but many don’t know the Jamaican singer’s story. Well, we just got one step closer to an in-depth look at his life. Bob Marley’s family, along with Paramount Pictures, recently released a teaser trailer for ‘Bob Marley: One Love’. Take a look below:

Paramount has assured fans that ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ will be authentic to the life and legacy of Bob Marley. They spoke on the film’s production saying: “Paramount strives to offer authentic and intimate portrayal of the musician’s life by working closely with the Marley family through the screenwriting and film production process.” Bob Marley’s son offered his own statement following the announcement of the teaser trailer adding: “nothing happens before its time, and now is the time for the story of our father Bob Marley to be represented in a biopic.”

Those behind the film believe its authenticity is what sets it apart, “It was filmed in England and Jamaica, including significant locations such as Trench Town and Bull Bay in Kingston, where Bob lived and shaped his artistry. The cast and Crew, which includes numerous Jamaican actors, deliver a unique cinematic experience that captures the essence of the legend’s spirit.”

This film may be authentic, but will it be as entertaining as its predecessors?
