It was just announced that an Audrey Hepburn biopic is in the works for Apple studios. 

Oscar-nominated actress Rooney Mara has been cast as the iconic Breakfast at Tiffany’s actress. Mara is known for her work in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Her and Carol.

The biopic is set to be directed by the Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino. Luca has been known to work with many famous faces including, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Timothee Chalamet and Dakota Johnson.

It was rumoured that Luca’s next project was the sequel to his hit film Call Me By Your Name, but after the Armie Hammer controversy, the film has been put on pause.

The plotline of the biopic has not yet been announced but from the famed life of Hepburn, one can only imagine what Mara and Luca are going to capture on the screen. Hepburn is known for her roles in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, My Fair Lady and Roman Holiday.

The British actress acted for over 40 years and at the age of 63 passed away after battling cancer. The actress was survived by her children and leaves a long legacy of iconic roles she embodied.
