Is Jessica Simpson on Ozempic?

Late last year, Jessica Simpson’s sponsored post for Pottery Barn Kids received lots of attention and lots of comments upon her body shape. ” Jessica was too skinny, she was taking Ozempic—.” In Simpson’s recent interview with Bustle, the ‘Irresistible’ artist addresses those claims of her abusing the type 2 diabetes/anti-obesity medication Ozempic. “Oh Lord. I mean, it is not” — “it’s willpower. I’m like, do people want me to be drinking again? Because that’s when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can’t do it.”

Jessica claims she is too old to let those comments affect her but admits that it still bothers her. “Am I going to let the negativity derail me? No, I’m too old for that. I am too connected to myself right now to let that derail me. It doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt.”

She has gone through various weight changes throughout her career and sees it as an asset. “I am fortunate to have been every size,” she says. “For [my] brand, understanding the women [who buy our products], and for my psyche.” And in the book Jessica released called The Open Book, she revealed that her self-esteem was not determined by her weight and the numbers on the scale. “I have no idea how much I weigh, I just want to be able to feel good and zip my pants up. If I don’t, I have another size. I have every size.” Read here for more insight of Jessica Simpson’s weight loss journey.
