Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andre Braugher cause of death revealed!

Braugher who was 61 at the time of his death has died of Lung Cancer according to reports.

The news comes only three days after his death was first confirmed.

The actor’s representative confirmed that Braugher had passed away on Monday from a “recent illness” but did not confirm the illness until now.

However, his rep did not reveal any more details about Braugher’s diagnosis.

During the initial announcement of Braugher’s death, a few of his co-stars and fans expressed their shock at his passing.

And none could believe the news with many saying it was “an honour” to share the screen with him.

Braugher left behind wife Ami Brabson, whom he had married in 1991 until his death, and three sons,

Michael, Isaiah and John Wesley Braugher.

Noted for being a man who prioritised family first, and during an interview with Variety, Braugher told them that he “made sure to fly home on the weekends to see his sons.”

“I made a choice along the way that Ami and those boys were too important to not spend quantity time with,” Braugher said.

“I’ve got three boys, and I want them to know me as someone other than the guy who takes them to the circus every once in a while. I wanted to be there through the course of their life because I know how important fathers are.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea Peretti and Terry Crews among many others honoured their friend and co-star.

Chelsea Peretti wrote, “Love you ❤️ Will miss your dulcet tones. Forever lucky to have gone on such a journey with you.”

Terry Crews wrote, “Can’t believe you’re gone so soon. I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent. This hurts. You left us too soon.”
