What’s going on with Celine Dion in 2023?
Celine Dion and her sister Claudette give an update on the 55-year-old Canadian singer’s health. The update comes 8 months after it was revealed that Dion was diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome. Moreover, Claudette revealed that her sister continues to prioritise her health amid living with the disorder. “When I call, and Celine is busy, I talk to my sister Linda, who lives with her, who tells me she is working hard,” she told French magazine Le Journal de Montreal.
Subsequently, Celine Dion has made it her mission to understand her condition better. In a statement made by Claudette she is “studying and learning from the world’s best doctors specialized in this rare disease.”
However, the clear deep bond between Dion and her family is there for all to see. Regarding her sister’s health and life, Claudette said, “I honestly think she just needs to rest.” Claudette recalled that Celine had spent all her life trying to be the biggest and strongest. “At some point, your ‘little’ heart and ‘little’ body is speaking to you. It’s important.”
Additionally, Claudette stated that they “trust her in her diligence” in regard to her health.
In December of last year, Celine opened up about her health struggles, revealing that she “wasn’t ready before, but she I am now.”
“it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through” the singer said in regard to her health. She explained that it “affect every aspect of my daily life.”

Additionally, some symptoms include muscle stiffness and painful spasms. The singer and mum of three explained “Sometimes causing difficulties when I walk,” she continued, “and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”
Additionally, the singer had a message for her fans. “I want you all to know, I’m not giving up,” she added, “and I can’t wait to see you again!”
