Did Meghan Trainor make out with Charlie Puth?

Last month, Meghan Trainor revealed that she and Charlie Puth had made out in 2015 when they were recording Marvin Gaye. Charlie Puth recently admitted it as well saying, “That definitely did happen once in 2015.” The  We Don’t Talk Anymore singer mentioned that they had some drinks before the kiss happened. “I also don’t think I’d ever had vodka before — Grey Goose vodka.”

In the interview with Interview Magazine, Puth explains that he had just moved to Hollywood after just moving out of his parent’s house. Thus, his collaboration with Trainor was like a cherry on top as he moved into his new Hollywood life.

“I’m in this fancy recording studio where I didn’t know what a runner was. They said, ‘What do you want?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll just call and I’ll pick up a pizza for myself.’ They were like, ‘No, we’ll get it for you.’ I felt like I was on top of the world. So sure, if Meghan wanted to kiss me, I was definitely down.”

Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor are “still friends to this day”, said Puth. Puth praises Trainor as he mentions that he thinks she is “one of the most brilliant songwriters.”

It wasn’t the only kiss the two shared. When performing Marvin Gaye for the 2015 AMAs, Puth and Trainor ended the song with a passionate kiss. The kiss sparked dating rumors, but Puth shut them down saying,  “We’re really great friends and that’s never going to change.”
