The Dodgers Clinch a World Series in 5 Games Against the New York Yankees.
November 1, 2024- After a nail-biting showdown, the Dodgers have once again won the World Series in a spectacular finish against the Yankees.
The Yankees came out firing to start the game, with a quick 5 runs scored in early innings it looked as if the Yanks had the game in the bag and that the series would continue. The 5-run lead came off the backs of back-to-back home runs first by Aaron Judge, then followed by 3rd baseman Jazz Chrisholm Jr.
Things were looking grim for the Dodgers who were playing away in Yankee Stadium. However, a 5th inning monster comeback was in the works as the Dodgers put up a whopping 5 runs in a single inning.
They would go on to score twice more to secure a championship over the Yankees, 7-6. This is their 8th World Series win.

The final inning was capped off by Walker Buehler’s first-ever career save. A first save which occurs in the World Series is an impressive accomplishment in itself, but Buehler is also coming off a recent Tommy John surgery.

There are a plethora of notable Dodgers performances throughout the entire series. However, one who stands out more than the rest is first baseman Freddie Freeman. Freeman won MVP of the series after the historic outing, hitting a home run in 6 consecutive World Series games.
Freddie had elevated to super-stardom after hitting a walk-off grand slam in game 3 of the series at home in Dodgers Stadium.

Dodgers Win World Series
After their 2020 bubble victory during COVID, many were critical of the Dodgers championship victory. Critics doubted they could return to the same level of success. But now it seems that the jury is out on that decision as LA’s favorite baseball team has brought home yet another ring to the city of Angels.
Walker Buehler, who notched his first career save in game 6, addressed these critics in his postgame interview.

The Dodgers are the first team to ever come back from a 5-0 run deficit in a World Series game. And they did so in a heartbreaking fashion for Yankees fans everywhere.
