The LA-based brand with all the rave just dropped their RESORT 21 collection and we need to get our hands on it asap. Gigi C is a mother and daughter brand that started when Gigi a 16-year-old who practically lived in the water, wanted swimwear to be more functional and fashionable. With help from her mother Tina, a former clothing designer and swim model, there was no better team to create such beautiful and functioning swimwear than the two of them.

Gigi C’s new Resort 21 collection just dropped for both swim, and sport (yes, sport!). Since the brand’s launch in 2017, Gigi C has become known to so many, for its functionality, comfortability, inclusivity of sizing (recently carrying up to size XL), and of course its glamorous designs, and I’m going to tell you a little about my favourites from the lookbook.

Riley Surf Suit:

What LA-based swim brand doesn’t have a surf suit? This suit is functional for catching some waves but also is still fashionable. Most generic surf suits can be thick, uncomfortable, and definitely not flattering (especially for women). This suit comes in 4 colours, I like the deep sea blue. It has flatlock seams that hug your curves, cut out design to give your suit some pattern, and medium cheek coverage (not too much, but also not too little, if you know what I mean). At a price point of $240, this suit and its designs and functionality are worth a pretty penny.

The Stephanie Top:

The Stephanie can be multifunctional. Workout in the morning swim in the afternoon, this swim top can be worn for more than just a day at the beach. The faux snakeskin and plunge neckline gives such a beautiful look to something so simple. This top also pairs well with the high waist Melinda bottom that is also snakeskin. This sleek look can be yours for just $108.

The Leah Leggings:

The sport side of Gigi C is just as fabulous as the swim side. Their matching sets are cute and functional for working out or even just lounging around. The Leah leggings come in a grey exotic snakeskin pattern that has a buttery soft feel for the fabric and fits like a glove, as they move with you perfectly. Pair these leggings with the matching print of the Annie bra, Willow tank, or even the Maya jacket. These breathable leggings with cooling effects go for $110.

Gigi C is a brand that represents the active woman. A woman who wants to look good and feel good while doing it. Everything that Gigi and Tina want in a brand was created by them, for women like them, active, moving women who wanted comfort, functionality and fashion wrapped up all into one.
