Keep reading to learn all about the pair, in which they reflect on their favorite projects to date, share insights into their creative evolution, and dive into their latest supernatural thriller, “Curse of the Necklace.”

Talk to us about how you both got your start in Hollywood.

Madeleine: Violet was doing a modeling job for one of our friends and I was like, “I want to try that!” We were doing headshots in L.A. with a photographer. When the photographer posted them on Facebook, a manager from L.A. saw them and asked us to come in for a meeting. That’s pretty much how it all started. I begged my mom to let me do acting because I wanted to do it so badly. I auditioned for my first role and got it- I have been doing it ever since.

Violet: For me, I saw that my sister had this TV show called “Outcast” and they were filming in South Carolina. I went to go visit her and this show had a bunch of fake blood and special effects, which I thought was so cool. When I was watching her filming on the monitors I thought to myself, “I think I’m going to try this.” Here I am today!

Tell us about your favorite projects you’ve worked on to date.

Madeleine: One of my favorite projects I’ve worked on is definitely “Black Phone,” because I had such an amazing experience working on it. The second one would probably be “Toy Story 4” because that was so different for me. I got to work on it since I was 5 years old until I was 10! Getting to see all of the animation and do voicework was so cool. I would love to continue to do that.

Violet: One of them is definitely “M3GAN“. It’s so unique. Another one would be “Christmas Myserty” because I love Christmas films. It was my first Christmas film and it was so fun to film.

You executively produced and are set to star in the upcoming supernatural thriller “Curse of the Necklace” which hit theaters on September 27th. What can you tell us about this film?

Madeleine: It is a horror movie that takes place in the 1960s featuring the Davis family. We both star in the film, and our parents in the film are going through some things, trying to get a divorce. As a way for our father to get our mother in the film back, he brings home a “sketchy-looking necklace” and then all the chaos happens.

What can you tell us about your respective roles in the movie and how you prepared for them?

Madeleine: For me, I was so excited to play this character because I had never gotten to play someone in the 1960s. That period is so unique. We had a call with the director long before filming, talking about my character and we went over the back story of the character, He sent me videos of teenagers in the 1960s, talking, and I thought it was so cool to see the differences between then and now. I also got into character using music. I made a playlist with the director.

Violet: As soon as I got the script and started reading my character, I actually wanted to try and use the rotary dial phone from back in the day. One day on set I used it to help me get into character. I had someone teach me how to use it and it was very cool.

What’s next for you?

Madeleine: For me, I am going to film later on this year! I also have a few projects lined up for 2025 and 2026.

Violet: I have a few projects coming out next year which I am excited about.
