On its comeback, the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival expanded its lineup to 250 films.

The Jio MAMI Mumbai Festival is back after three years of hiatus. The festival is organized by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image. The 2023 edition will be held from October 27 to November 5. Moreover, the festival returns with a new vision of expanding South Asian Cinema by introducing the South Asia competition section. The festival’s new vision is to become a hub for South Asian and South Asian Diaspora Cinema in the region. There are 14 films in this competition.

Furthermore, in the Focus South Asia section, there are 46 films with 22 feature and 24 non-feature films. The World Cinema section will feature 100 films from more than 35 countries. Some of the other categories are Icons: South Asia, Gala Premieres, After Dark, Dimensions Mumbai, Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films, Marathi Talkies, Restored Classics, Retrospective, Tribute and Recap.

The festival includes 40 world premieres, 45 Asia premieres, and more than 70 South Asia premieres.
