Jonathan Majors Lawsuit
According to this article, several people have seemingly accused Jonathan Majors of allegedly abusing them. The new claims were made public after Majors was involved in an alleged domestic violence case that led to his arrest in March 2023.
As Rolling Stone mentioned in the report, more than 40 people accused the actor of abusing them a decade ago while he was still at Yale’s David Geffen School of Drama. However, Jonathan’s lawyer, Dustin A. Pusch, denied the allegations shortly after they were published in a report that People shared.
“These allegations are based entirely on hearsay because neither of the romantic partners referenced were willing to engage with Rolling Stone for the article — demonstrating their outright falsity,” the attorney said. Pusch added that Jonathan Majors “also denies any allegations of abuse, violence or intimidation during his time at Yale.”
“Rolling Stone’s allegations were directly rebutted by those who actually knew and acted with Mr. Majors at Yale. Rolling Stone heard first-hand from those who knew Mr. Majors at Yale that these allegations were false.” Majors’ attorney added.
“We notified Rolling Stone of these errors, and Rolling Stone was provided statements from Mr. Majors’ actual past romantic partners attesting to his character and the falsity of the charges, but Rolling Stone purposefully ignored those facts and red flags and published the false charges anyway,” Dustin A. Pusch continued.
Is Jonathan Majors innocent?
Earlier this year, the actor was arrested after his former partner, Grace Jabbari, accused him of domestic violence. Majors was charged “with three counts of assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, three counts of attempted assault in the third degree, and harassment in the second degree.” HOLR breaks it down here.
