After being found guilty of assault and harassment charges, Jonathan Majors has been sentenced to participate in a domestic violence treatment program, avoiding jail time. Majors faced charges of misdemeanor assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree in connection with an altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

The judge ordered Majors to undergo a one-year “in-person batterers” intervention program in Los Angeles, where he resides. Additionally, Majors must continue mental health counseling and stay away from the victim, Grace Jabbari, according to ABC News.

Majors, known for roles in movies like Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, was convicted on December 18, 2023, for recklessly causing physical injury and harassment. However, the jury found him not guilty of other charges related to intent to cause physical injury and aggravated harassment.

In a subsequent ABC News interview in January, Majors expressed remorse, admitting he was “reckless with her heart” but denied being physically violent. Jabbari’s attorney responded, criticizing Majors for not taking accountability for his actions and displaying an “above-the-law attitude.”

Despite Majors’ legal team’s efforts to overturn the guilty verdict, the judge upheld the conviction. Majors, supported by his girlfriend, actress Meagan Good, expressed disappointment but stated his respect for the legal process.

In response to the criminal case, Jabbari filed a civil lawsuit alleging a pattern of domestic abuse dating back to 2021. Majors’ lawyer mentioned plans for counterclaims against Jabbari.

Jonathan Majors’ sentencing to a domestic violence treatment program marks a legal consequence following his conviction, highlighting the ongoing legal and personal repercussions of his actions.
