On Tuesday morning, May 9, Jonathan Majors appeared at Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City via Zoom following his recent criminal charges, Variety notes.

During today’s short hearing, Jonathan Majors confirmed that he will appear in person at the next hearing which is scheduled for June 13, People added. If the actor fails to appear physically, the judge might issue a warrant for his arrest. “I obviously don’t want that to happen, so just stay in touch with your attorney,” Judge Rachel S. Pauley said, as noted here.

Following the hearing, Jonathan Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, opened up about the evidence they possess that will highlight the lies involved in the case and will therefore prove the actor’s innocence, People adds.

“Yet this false case continues, the woman’s claimed location shifts, and her story morphs. This is a witch hunt against Jonathan Majors, driven by baseless claims. Instead of dismissing the allegations in the face of the woman’s clear lies, the DA has adjusted the charges to match the woman’s new lies.” the attorney said.

On March 25, actor Jonathan Majors was arrested following domestic violence allegations, The Hollywood Reporter notes. According to the source, Majors was charged with assault, harassment and strangulation. Even though the alleged victim has been granted a temporary restraining order, Jonathan’s attorney has been denying the violence allegations. “Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” lawyer Priya Chaudhry said, as noted by The Hollywood Reporter.
