John Wick 5 has been confirmed with Keanu Reeves returning as the titular character. Chad Stahelski will also return as director.

Reeves is set to return to one of his most iconic roles. Specifically, Lionsgate has confirmed that John Wick 5 is underway. While other cast members and story details have yet to be confirmed, fans are excited for Reeves to return to the iconic action role.

The film series has been a hit amongst audiences, grossing $1 billion worldwide. While the rest of the crew is yet to be confirmed, series director Chad Stahelski is also returning. Additionally, an animated prequel film is also underway, as well as a standalone Caine-related project. Moreover, Wick fans are excitedly waiting for the release of the spin-off film Ballerina in June.

The upcoming film will have Eve Macarro as the lead. In addition, actress Ana de Armas states that it will differ from other John Wick films.

“I think there are some trademarks in the style of the fights in John Wick and things that he does that are very particular to him. But because in this movie we’re seeing through Eve’s eyes the background of that training that John had,” said the actress.

Reeves has a versatile career, even being cast in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Allegedly, the actor has yet to make a statement about his return to the franchise.
