Why was Madonna hospitalized?
Madonna posted a carousel of photos on her Instagram Wednesday teasing fans about her World tour. Madonna’s Celebration World Tour to honor the 40th anniversary of her debut album on July 27th was previously postponed due to her hospitalization in June for a dangerous bacterial infection. In the midst of Madonna’s tour rehearsals, Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary had disclosed that she had “a several day stay in the ICU” after getting “a serious bacterial infection.” Oseary added, “Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”

Madonna captioned the post, “All dressed up and Nowhere to go…………….? …….. But Soon , Very Soon, I’ll be traveling to you. #celebrationtour.” In the first photo, Madonna wears a black bustier with a jeweled silver necklace and a full glam face. Another snapshot of Madonna shows her wearing a corset body suit and a cross choker as she sits in a washroom looking up. Other photos show some close-up details of different outfits. Fans suspected that she was teasing them by giving them a sneak peek of tour outfits.
The post comes after she posted an Instagram story on August 4th revealing new tour dates scheduled. Madonna wrote in the story, “Thank you again for your incredible Support and Patience over these past few weeks. I’m happy to report that the re-routed tour schedule will be coming in the next few days! See You Soon for a well-deserved Celebration!”
