Miley Cyrus Flowers Dress Jennifer Lawrence

During a recent Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen episode, Jennifer Lawrence addressed the rumors that Liam Hemsworth has cheated on his ex-wife, Miley Cyrus, with her. Along with the cheating allegations, the actress addressed the rumor that Miley shaded her in the video clip of Flowers, by wearing a gold dress that resembled a piece that Jennifer previously wore. 

In the video of Flowers, Miley Cyrus chose to wear a Yves Saint Laurent outfit that looked similar to a Prabal Gurung dress Jennifer Lawrence wore in 2012. This resemblance led to several speculations that Jennifer talked about on Monday.

“I just assume that was, like, a coincidence.” the actress said, as noted by PageSix.

“There was already a lot of talk that the music video was referencing a secret fling that you had with Liam Hemsworth while he was with Miley Cyrus.” Cohen told Lawrence. “Not true,” the actress answered, as noted here. “Can you please respond to this?” Cohen continued.

“I would love to: Not true, total rumor. I mean, we all know me and Liam, like, kissed one time. It was years after they’d broke up,” the Hunger Games star answered. “Thank you for clearing that up,” the host concluded.

Miley Cyrus opened up about Flowers in an interview for British Vogue. “I wrote ‘Flowers’ in a really different way. The chorus was originally: ‘I can buy myself flowers, write my name in the sand, but I can’t love me better than you can.’ It used to be more, like, 1950s. The saddest song. Like: ‘Sure, I can be my own lover, but you’re so much better.’ The song is a little fake it till you make it, which I’m a big fan of.” she said.
