June 11, 2025: As of now, Disney has not officially announced the cast for its live-action adaptation of Tangled. While the project was in development, several casting rumors circulated:

Florence Pugh: Reports suggested that Disney was considering Florence Pugh for the role of Rapunzel.

Sabrina Carpenter: Singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter was also mentioned as a potential choice for Rapunzel.

Kathryn Hahn: There were rumors about Kathryn Hahn being considered for the role of Mother Gothel.

However, in April 2025, Disney reportedly paused the production of the live-action Tangled following the underwhelming box office performance of its Snow White remake.

As a result, no official casting decisions have been confirmed, and the project’s future remains uncertain.
