Accoridng to this TikTok video posted by user @cbsnews, surveillance footage captured a man just missing getting struck by a runaway saw blade is going viral on the internet.

In the chilling video, a man can be seen entering a store. Seconds later, a runaway saw blade comes flying into the screen and can be seen crashing into the store where the man was just standing moments before. As the TikTok video caption claims, the man narrowly missed getting hit with an escaped metal blade that reportedly came loose off of a concrete saw at a nearby construction site.

The incident occurred in Eugene, Oregon at a Quicktrips Neighborhood Market and the viral clip has been making its rounds on social media websites such as X and TikTok. The man seen in the video is allegedly Shane Reimche. The blade allegedly became wedged 2 feet into the wall, as outlined in this related article on People.

Commenters took to the comment section of the TikTok video to allege that this was a close call and that the man was “about to be cut in half.”
