Consumers are shopping more consciously more than ever*, and in recognition of Earth Day on April 22, Shop, Shopify’s mobile shopping assistant app, debuted a new way for shoppers to discover eco-conscious brands on the platform with its Sustainability Collection.

Shoppers can now discover and support 50 businesses (list below) committed to minimizing environmental impact or creating positive change, across homeware, health & beauty, fashion apparel and accessories, and food & beverage categories. The collection includes household names like KOTNAllbirds, and Pangaia, but also some under-the-radar Canadian brands you’ve yet to discover, like AbeegoSatya and Junglesupply.

Beyond the collection, shoppers who check out with Shop Pay (one of the first carbon-neutral ways to pay) are helping Shop in their mission to restore the Casamance Mangroves (with a goal to plant 4.6M mangrove trees in the next two years!) in Senegal, Africa, at no extra cost for brands or consumers. Choosing Shop Pay allows shoppers to reduce the environmental impact of shopping online, regardless of how far the delivery travels or how many purchases shoppers make.

*Shopify’s Future of Commerce Report: More than half (53%) of consumers prefer green or sustainable products, and value brands that demonstrate authenticity and transparency.
