Gwen Stefani reunites with her former backup singer during blind auditions on ‘The Voice.’

During a touching moment on ‘The Voice,’ Ms. Monet, real name Conesha Monét Owens reunited with pop star Gwen Stefani.

And she positivity stunned the judges with her rendition of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love.”

With both Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire turning the chair for talented singer.

However, Gwen did not seem to immediately recognise her former backup singer.

Only after Ms. Monet revealed that she and the pop singer had worked together before did Gwen recall where she knew Ms. Monet.

“You did a Christmas album in 2017, right? I sung backgrounds on your Christmas album!” she told Gwen.

And proceeded singing a bit of the holiday duet Gwen did with Blake Shelton.

The ladies got excited at the revelations before Gwen told Monet that she knew she had to turn around.

“I knew it! I knew I had to press!”

Not everyone wowed by Ms. Monet’s performance.

However, not all the judges seemed to enjoy the performance with Niall Horan refusing to turn for the former backup singer.

But Niall Horan did try to explain himself and honestly, it kind of felt half-hearted.

Like an answer that doesn’t actually answer anything.

“The only reason I didn’t turn is that I didn’t feel like I could be of help,” Niall told them.

But seriously what? What does that even mean?

Also did John Legend turn around at all?

Social media buzz on Ms. Monet.

While Ms. Monet’s entire audition was incredible, there has been quite the buzz on her choosing Team Reba!

But the fans are nonetheless happy for her though with many of them congratulating Ms. Monet on her successful audition.

@joshualeclair1 wrote, “Beautiful performance, Monet!”

While @cantcancelmimi said, “@MsMonet is beautiful and strong!!! She’s been in the background too long… Good luck! I’d even come see you on Broadway….”

The fans clearly loved her and believe she is heading places.

We wish Ms. Monet the best of luck going forward, and we can’t wait to see what else she brings to ‘The Voice.’
