The last original coach, Blake Shelton, will be leaving The Voice after season 23. However, three old coaches will come back to the show, Niall Horan, John Legend, and Gwen Stefani. The artist who will join the show for the first time as a coach is Reba McEntire, who has been part of The Voice as a mega mentor in season 23.

“There’s a new Coach in town! See you all this Fall! #TheVoice.” McEntire wrote in a recent Instagram post.

Singer Blake Shelton will leave the show after being a coach for 12 years. In an interview for Today Show, Blake Shelton confessed he had been considering leaving the show for a while.

“I think I was close to calling it a day right when COVID hit. And then, because of COVID, I didn’t want to walk away from the show and leave everybody in a bind. I mean, this show changed my life. I’ll stay here until the world kind of gets back to normal again.” he said. “When I came on as a coach on this show, I mean, everything in my life was turned upside down. And in a good way, you know? This has been incredible, but it’s time, you know. It’s time for what’s next. A little bit of nothing would be nice.” Shelton added.
