We hear you’re working on your new single “TITLE.” Talk to us about the songwriting process and how TITLE came to be.

TITLE actually was something I had an inspiration to write about for a while now. We were deciding when to start the studio session and I was going through a breakup at the time, but had a lot of inspiration coming my way- I just wanted to write about it. For TITLE, it’s about putting a label on relationships and the overall pressure of it. I’m excited for everyone to listen to it.

What do you love most about music making?

I just love being in the studio! I’m super involved and I love being a part of the process of creating the track and hearing what the producer has in mind in regard to the direction I want to go in. As far as writing, I think it’s all about creating a relationship with your co-writer. I love writing songs, too. I love writing, creating, and recording- it’s a really fun time.

What are some of your favorite songs you’ve recorded to date?

I have a lot of unreleased music I’ve been working on so I feel like my favorite ones are the ones that are about to come out! TITLE is one of them, for sure. It was an emotional time for me. When I was recording it, it meant a lot. Also, one of my songs, Kiss N Tell, was really fun to record. It was something I had never done before- it was cool and had Y2K vibes!

How have late 90’s/early 2000’s nostalgic vibes inspired your overall sound?

I think I’ve also just always loved that era! It’s fun to bring it back and that was the inspiration for Kiss N Tell. TITLE has some of that in its sound too. You can feel the emotion behind TITLE but it’s also a fun song to listen to. I really did take inspiration from Y2K hints in this song. I also took inspiration from other pop references into TITLE to kind of switch it up a bit.

What are your future goals in the industry?

My biggest goal is to continue to release a bunch of music and have people listen to it and get inspired by it. As well, hopefully, one day signing with a major label is another goal of mine. I also want to tour one day or open up for someone on tour- that would be super fun. Those are some of the long-term goals I hope to accomplish one day.
