Stereophonics Announce New Album: ‘Make ‘Em Laugh, Make ‘Em Cry, Make ‘Em Wait’
January 31, 2025: Stereophonics have announced their 13th studio album, ‘Make ‘em Laugh, Make ‘em Cry, Make ‘em Wait’.
Welsh rock band Stereophonics have officially announced their thirteenth studio album, titled Make ‘Em Laugh, Make ‘Em Cry, Make ‘Em Wait, set for release on April 25, 2025, via EMI. The band has also unveiled the lead single from the album, “There’s Always Gonna Be Something.”
A Glimpse into the New Album
The forthcoming album comprises eight tracks, each crafted to deliver a concise and impactful musical experience. Frontman Kelly Jones described the album as “a tight and heavy-hitting eight-track record… clean and precise. Hopeful and joyous.”

Artistic Inspiration Behind the Album
The album’s artwork draws inspiration from artist Louise Bourgeois’ piece “Art Is Guaranty Of Sanity,” which Jones encountered in a New York gallery. He was struck by the simplicity and message of the work, leading him to create the minimalist pink cover for the album. Jones explained, “I loved the simplicity of the pink. The pink album was born.”
Lead Single: “There’s Always Gonna Be Something”
The lead single, “There’s Always Gonna Be Something,” delves into themes of restlessness and the struggle for acceptance amidst uncertainty. Jones noted, “It’s a song that could be describing the restlessness in uncertainty, struggling to arrive at acceptance.”
Upcoming Tour Plans
In support of the new album, Stereophonics plan to embark on a tour throughout 2025. The band will perform across North America in March and April before heading to Europe.
