Bodycam Footage Of January 7th, The Night Of Tyre Nichols’s Passing Has Been Released

Today, bodycam footage of January 7th, the night in Memphis, Tennessee where Tyre Nichols was murdered at the hands of the Memphis Police.

At the scene of the crime, 5 police officers who have been identified and fired are shown in the video along with the victim, Tyre Nichols. Chief Cerelyn (“CJ”) Davis claims the officers have been charged.

“Individuals watching will feel what the family felt,” Davis said.“And if you don’t, then you’re not a human being. … There will be a measure of sadness, as well.”

According to officials, the reasoning for releasing this footage is to show the world how the officers on duty that night showed “a disregard for human rights”.

During an interview with CNN, Chief Davis claims she was ‘outraged’ by this ‘alarming’ video, she goes on to say she “has never seen anything like it in her entire career.”

In one of the videos, police have Nichols on the ground, using acts of force against him. Kicking and punching in the video are shown in the video.
