There’s nothing quite like travelling to places you’d always dreamed of going to.

Romantic sunsets, turquoise seas, or picturesque cityscapes, they all match the feeling of soaring above the rest of the world. With countries around the world welcoming tourists, and with the pandemic instilling a craving for adventure within us, now is the perfect time to travel. But with the world at our fingertips, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. So, we’ve curated a list of bucket list destinations that will give you experiences you’ll cherish forever.

Bali

If there were only three words we could use to describe Bali, they’d be ‘Paradise on Earth’. The sparkling water, the jagged terrain, and relaxing beaches have stolen the hearts of countless travellers. To add to the beautiful landscape, there’s also volcanoes, jungles built for adventurous hikes, and cottages you can stay at that have open roofs—perfect for stargazing in bed.

Machu Picchu

The once-lost city is, understandably, one of the seven wonders of the world. Its unique history combined with its magnificent greenery, remarkable stone ruins that have an almost mythical edge, and its craggy peaks, make Machu Picchu the destination of a lifetime. 

Northern Lights

The Aurora Borealis—or the Northern Lights—are breathtakingly gorgeous. Because of its almost dreamlike beauty, it’s possible to forget it’s a part of Earth at all. Glowing streaks of delicate green and deep crimson streak across the horizon. While you’re there, the world blurs into darkness, and leaves only you and the endless sky behind. 

The Pyramids of Giza

Also called the Giza necropolis, the pyramids located at the heart of Cairo hold a mysterious, almost mythical beauty. They tower over the city, and contain countless artefacts that travellers can see up close from within the pyramids themselves. Cairo also boasts mini pyramids, tombs, and a Solar Boat museum. 

Dubai

Often called the City of Gold, Dubai’s glittering skyscrapers and deep blue seas are impossible to ignore while curating your bucket list. Take a trip to the top of the Burj Khalifa—the tallest building in the world—and soar above the city—and its palm-tree shaped artificial islands—in a glass room. Or take a trip to Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah, and have a relaxing yet adventurous vacation. While you’re there, don’t forget to take an indoor ski trip to Ski Dubai. Dubai’s shopping festival also brings countless travellers to the city each year. Dubai is a city built to create a truly unforgettable experience for each traveller—and its new, buzzing metropolis combined with its warm, homely night markets and street food, create a unique atmosphere.

Soar above the world on a hot air balloon in Cappadocia, Turkey; trek through the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA; go island hopping in Tahiti; go on a romantic trip to Santorini, Greece; and lastly, witness the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.
