Who’s left on American Idol?
The top three contestants on American Idol have been chosen: Abi Carter, Jack Blocker, and Will Moseley. The three will face off live on the show’s 22nd season finale.
American Idol Disney night 2024
The top spots were decided on May 12 at the end of the show’s Disney Night where contestants sang two songs from famous Disney movies.
For her first song, Carter sang “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, followed by “The Chain” from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Blocker performed “Nobody’s Fool” from Cars 2, and “Space Oddity” from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. For his turn, Moseley sang “Born to Be Wild” from D3: The Mighty Ducks, and “The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy” from Toy Story 4.
The night also featured a special performance from the judges. Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan sang a rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”

Carter, Blocker, and Moseley will face off live in the season finale on May 19th on ABC.
Loretta Lynn granddaughter American Idol Emmy Russell
With the selection of the top three contestants came the elimination of Emmy Russell and Triston Harper.
Speaking after the show, Russell said she saw the elimination as “God’s plan,” For Disney Night, Russell performed “The Climb” from Hannah Montana: The Movie and “Carried Me With You” from the movie Onward. The 25-year-old singer, who is also the granddaughter of country music star Loretta Lynn, shared that, for her, “The Climb” is about not running from “rejection or pain and facing hard things,”
“The climb is Abraham’s Promised Land,” The singer said.
