Hollywood actress Ana de Armas will next be seen portraying Marilyn Monroe in her next movie Blonde. To prepare for her part in the movie, the actress studied the legendary actress.

Ana de Armas stated that Marilyn Monroe was haunting the cast of her new movie Blonde, in which she portrays the Hollywood classic when speaking with reporters about the movie after its premiere.

Armas told reporters at the Venice Film Festival the same thing. She remarked, “I think she was happy. She would also throw things off the wall sometimes and get mad if she didn’t like something. Maybe this sounds very mystical, but it is true. We all felt it.”

The actress went on to say that she thought Monroe was constantly nearby.“I truly believe that she was very close to us. She was with us,” according to De Armas.

According to Andrew Dominik, the director of the movie, who also acknowledged feeling her presence, “It definitely took on elements of being like a seance.”

Monroe’s presence was felt on the set by everyone, according to De Armas, not just by her.

On August 4, the date of Monroe’s death in 1962, the biopic’s filming got underway. At the age of 36, she overdosed and passed away.

The first portions of the film were reportedly filmed in the same apartment where Monroe had previously lived with her mentally ill mother, according to a reporter. Her death scene was also filmed in the same room where Monroe had died, which made the situation even more unsettling.

De Armas previously claimed that when she was contacted for the role, she knew very little about Monroe, but that she did research on her while getting ready for the movie.

“She was all I thought about, she was all I dreamt about, she was all I could talk about, she was with me and it was beautiful,” de Armas added.

De Armas, who has a noticeable Cuban accent, even engaged a voice coach to mimic Monroe’s speech pattern in order to fully inhabit the role. De Armas was the ideal candidate for the position from the start, and Dominick understood this.

“I knew it was her as soon as I saw her on TV,” he remarked. Similar to when you fall in love at first sight, you can tell when the appropriate person enters the room.
