Aaron Carter, 34, tragically died in November 2022. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has now released findings about his death. Carter’s ex-fiancee, however, said the results make no sense. We have more details below.

What is Aaron Carter’s cause of death?

As noted by Just Jared, Aaron Carter reportedly died from accidental drowning in his bathtub. A housekeeper called the police and paramedics came, but Carter was pronounced dead in the morning. According to the official statement, Carter might have taken alprazolam and inhaled compressed gas before he drowned. To be more specific, alprazolam is a generic form of the prescription pills Xanax and the compressed gas he allegedly inhaled was named difluroethane. Aaron Carter was known to have substance abuse and drug problems when he was alive.

What did Aaron Carter’s ex say?

Melanie Martin, Aaron Carter’s ex-fiancee, said his autopsy results did not make sense because he was fully clothed when he was found submerged and unresponsive in the bathtub.

“Why would he be in a bathtub with clothes on?” Martin asked, before adding “I don’t understand the chains of events and this report only has us asking more questions.”

TMZ has noted that authorities did find clothing items at the scene of Carter’s death, including a beanie, sweatshirt, and pants. There was a nozzle tip of a compressed air can inside the front pocket of the sweatshirt.
